Multiple Identity Crisis
Of course we all live a life where at some point we have to make decisions based off of experiences previously had and those that we’ve yet to come into contact with. However, when you plan on becoming more than yourself, more than what your name describes, often more times than not another identity begins to form and usually when this new entity emerges, the original one wants to separate from the new and let the new stand in the light alone. Our personal identity- the everyday person which controls what we do and how we do it, is that which wants to in a way grandfather its way into society, while simultaneously allowing space for a newcomer, this new outgoing and confident being wanting to attract the attention of others for some sort of gain.
Any alternate identity, other than that given to us by birth, be it a stage, business or new name, is a second entity detached from that which reigned before it. So believe it or not, the new identity is also a golden ticket to be used in any setting seen fit…with a clean slate. This new venture gives life to opportunity with no draw backs. A chance to start over, and represent whatever ideas or take on any mission presented. Consequently, any way that you chose to handle said obstacle, especially the first one, will engrave the first scripture of that identity into the stone of society- so make sure you are conscious of how you establish yourself.
As mentioned before, we all, in some way or another, struggle to make our mark in the world. A new journey or pathway to such, can be sparked by a reinvention of one’s self. That can be done a number of ways, but it is always important, no matter what, to be purposeful, because something new always draws attention. More than likely, a person will take on a new name, business or personal, to separate themselves from a time in their life where they were not operating in such a way that suited their new path. I mean if we were going to truly be the same, why would anything have to change? Even everyone changes their mind state at the least every 5-10 years. But those that wish to make a sudden or drastic change or even just bring life to an underexposed side of their original self, find it necessary to name this new era in their lives. The most important move is to make sure you are sure about what you to represent as the first impression, whether you alternate from it later or not, is a lasting impression, and the last thing you want to do is introduce a new person with old tendencies to familiar people.
In this creative world, we often face adversity when establishing connection with not only adjacent society but our own realms alike. No one wants to disappoint their audience, but more so, nobody wants to let down themselves. Newly enhanced or the same. My unsolicited advice, is to be clear on your purpose before taking that step and proclaiming your newfound identity to the world- not only to save face but save time in having to do so again. Take it from someone who’s created different entities before with a half ass attitude expecting something from those who are being introduced to the new me. Whether you want to introduce You 2.0 or just change the way you live a little, make sure your intentions are set out the gate, because no matter what you change , the first memory of the new you is what sets the presidency of your path with others. But who cares what they think.
